Adventures on the Hudson – Part 3

2nd Day, New York City

 

 

After spending the night in Liberty Marina in Jersey City, Amelia and her grandparents took a quick ferry ride to Manhattan Island. With just a day to spend in the big city, they took a whirlwind bus tour of the major sights. A favorite stop was Fearless Girl, who matches Amelia’s outlook on life. It took all of her assertive attitude to work through the throngs of tourists and earn 30 seconds next to Fearless Girl for photo.

 

 

On the weekends Central Park is closed to car traffic, and full of bikers. Amelia and her Grandparents rented bikes and toured the entire 6-mile loop, with mandatory breaks for ice cream and playgrounds.

 

 

Amelia: Today we went to New York, New York! We saw so many things on our bus tour, like Times Square and Central Park. When we were biking we stopped at a wonderful playground. It had a lot of wooden things and a splash pad. I did not play in the splash pad because I did not have a swim suit! When we were at the playground daddy took my picture while I was wearing my brand new shoes. We had a great time in New York City!
